Audio static issues with PC using Behringer 1204 USB mixer.
Hi r/Twitch
I've been trying to get my stream setup working but as of right now after more than a week of youtubing and reading lots of info I can't seem to figure out how to fix this audio issue I have.
I'm running a single PC streaming setup using a 12 channel usb sound mixer (behringer xenyx qx1204usb).
PC Specs:
- Graphics GTX 1080
- Processor i7
- 16Gb Ram
Stream Setup is:
- PC using main soundcard line 'out' to channel 7/8
- iPhone out to channel 5/6
- Sound mixer USB 'out' to PC USB (as an output)
- Aux send 1 on sound mixer to pc 'in' mic port on the rear of the pc
Photoshop download free full version windows. The main issue I'm experiencing is an unbelieve static sound that sounds like this: https://soundcloud.com/christophergrantmusic/mic-test-max-minus-with-usb-output/s-j6wLW
There are two parts to that audio, the first part is using the mic port of the pc which is using the AUX send 1 and the second part of that audio is the USB input from the sound mixer.
I get this static noise if I don't use the 'AUX send' but it's much louder when I'm using the mic on that channel..
The reason I need the AUX send 1 is for skype, discord and game chat. I don't want all my mixed audio coming into my mic when talking to people.

I've read it could be a grounding issue? I do have a very noisy fan compensating for my gtx 1080 graphics card. But I'm struggling to resolve this issue. I don't seem to get this noise from my mac when recording on it. I have all of my computer and electronics plugged in the same power surge protector board from the same outlet. This issue only happens on my pc too.

I'd be willing to trade in this sound mixer if it makes my life easier at this point. So if anyone thinks something else can achieve this without the headache of static noise that would be greatly appreciated.
If anyone has any ideas please share.
